Halfspace started because two friends kept getting annoyed at the same thing: match reports that repeated the same three clichés and stat graphics that seemed to come from nowhere. Neither of them could find a place that explained the game properly without either dumbing it down or drowning it in jargon.
So we built the site around a simple rule: no claim goes up without a source behind it, and no article goes live without a second person reading it first. We worked directly with data providers rather than copying numbers second-hand, and we rewatch footage rather than trusting a highlight reel to tell the whole story.
We are upfront about who writes for us and how the site is funded, and we keep an open log of corrections rather than quietly editing mistakes away. If we get something wrong, we would rather you tell us and see it fixed than find out later that we hid it.
We do not publish a stat we have not traced back to its source ourselves, and we do not run an opinion piece without at least one other set of eyes on it first.
