Sourcing
Our writers draw on official club statements, press conferences, verified journalist reporting, league and federation data, and post-match statistics from recognised football databases. When we cite transfer rumours or unconfirmed reports, we attribute them to the originating outlet and flag them clearly as speculation rather than confirmed fact.
Review process
Every article passes through at least one editor before publication to check factual claims, statistics and quotes against original sources. Match reports and breaking transfer news are reviewed again shortly after posting to catch any details that changed as the story developed.
Corrections
When we get a score, a name, a statistic or a transfer detail wrong, we correct it in the article as soon as we are made aware and add a short note explaining what changed and when. Readers can report an error through our contact page, and significant corrections affecting the overall meaning of a piece are noted directly beneath the headline.
Advertising and independence
Halfspace occasionally works with brands connected to football culture, such as apparel or streaming partners, but sponsored content is labelled as an advertisement or partnership and kept separate from our independent match analysis and news coverage. Sponsors have no editorial input into how we cover matches, players, clubs or transfers.
